About

I'm an Assistant Professor in Sustainable Production Logistics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (since 2021), and concurrently an Affiliate Faculty member at POSTECH, South Korea (2026–2027). Over the past years I've led and contributed to several Swedish national research projects, funded by Vinnova and the Eureka SMART programme, alongside EU and Korean collaborations.

My work brings digital twins, simulation, and AI into production logistics, keeping the people on the factory floor at the centre:

Before KTH, I held postdoc positions at KTH and Seoul National University, and earned my PhD (2018) and BSc (2011) in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Seoul National University.

Teaching

At KTH I am course-responsible and lecturer for graduate courses in the Master's Programme in Sustainable Production Development, including Modelling, Simulation and Optimization of Sustainable Production (ML2302), Digitalisation for Sustainable Production (ML2303), and Theory of Science and Research Methodology (ML2307). I also examine Production Logistics and Supply Chains (ML2305).

I supervise doctoral and master's students working on simulation, digital twins, and AI in production logistics, and I guest-lecture on Industry 4.0/5.0, digital factories, and human-centred automation.
